This was totally supposed to be based on “While My Guitar Gently Weeps” by The Beatles. I have no clue what happened or why it deviated so far. D8

I also had no clue what the gay hell to call Ultra Magnus at this point, since it’s pretty vague in canon, apart from Magnus being a title as opposed to G1, where it was a name. I think perhaps Prime would be his rank, but I was worried it would sound funky, so I went with his “first” name. Besides, Sigma calling him by his first name is cute. <3

In my head, the Omega Sentinels were never meant to be anything but tools of war; their sentience was really kind of an accident, likely due to mechs like Ratchet and Ultra Magnus who served as friends to the sentinel with whom they worked. In general terms, they’re looked down on in the social hierarchy. I’m a sucker for class-based stuff besides.

I did want to avoid the political end of the war—the bit where Ultra Magnus would have justified everything by saying the Decepticons wanted to destroy the Autobot way of life and some such whatever. Being that Sigma was one of the last Omega Sentinels brought online, he’s still young, very much like a child, so to keep Ultra Magnus’ explanations simple and gentle reflects that.

My Favorite Place - G1, Inferno x Red Alert

Written about a year or so ago, after a very pretty sunset and having Red Alert on the brain. I love Red Alert, but HATE the way he's painted, like he needs to be in an insane asylum. I mean... When you watch Auto-Berserk, you know he was only twitching out because he was hit in the head by a missile. Let me repeat: Hit. In the head. With a fucking missile. He's a BAMF for surviving that, I swear to God.
