Words to Express - TFA, Wasp x Sari
Jul. 13th, 2011 09:16 pmMaybe sneaking down here was a bad idea. Everyone swore six ways to Sunday that Wasp was dangerous, especially Bumblebee; however, Sari was able to dismiss Bee's claims as being too biased to matter. Besides, she wanted to see… The twins were easily distracted by the promise of video games, leaving a high security cell in the belly of the Steelhaven free and clear.
The lighting was dim, but far from pitch dark; the glow from the force field surrounding the cell certainly helped. Sitting in the corner of the cell was a hunter green shell, knees hugged to chesthull. A pair of violet optics peered distrustfully at her.
Sari offered the Cybertronian a thin smile as she approached. "Hey."
The Cybertronian pressed itself against the wall of the cell. Here, Sari could finally get a better look—same form and size as Bumblebee, though more slender. There was a swell in the chestplate that indicted that the Cybertronian national in question was, on the most rudimentary level, female.
"Don't be afraid," Sari said as gently as she could, stepping up to the field between them.
"Leave Wasp alone." The femme's voice was shaking. She could pretend she was brave, but her voice and the way she pressed against the far wall gave her away as being utterly terrified.
"I won't hurt you," Sari soothed, trying again.
"That's what they all say," the femme, Wasp, spat back, wrapping her arms around herself in a sort of protective shield. "Look at what happens to Wasp."
"I can't hurt you—see?" Sari tapped the partition between them, which snapped and hummed angrily at the disruption. "I just wanted to see you."
"See Wasp?" Wasp repeated, voice bitter. She stretched her frame out; Sari could make out a network of dings and scratches over her armor plating, evident of violent trauma and, in general, a hard life. "Why techno-organic femme care?" She drew her legs up to her chest hull again.
Sari considered the words. "Well… I know you didn't do it."
Wasp looked up, listening now. "I know you're not a traitor," Sari elaborated, "and I know you didn't break out of the stockades." His opinion about Wasp being dangerous may have been too biased to matter, but Bumblebee did speak the truth in that regard.
Wasp got on her hands and knees and crawled over to the force field between them. Somehow, she looked and sounded even smaller up close. "Think Wasp… innocent?"
Sari offered her a sincere smile. "I do."
Wasp lifted her hand and laid it, briefly, on the field. "Thank techno-organic femme," she mumbled. What she didn't say was that this was the first kindness she'd been given in years. She didn't think there were words to express gratitude for that.

Bit of a deviation from canon… I like this pairing way more than I should, though I prefer it as male Wasp. Also, why is it easier to genderswap male characters to female than it is vice versa? 8/ I tried picturing this with Sari as a boy, but… Nothin’.
Meh, it’s okay. Id’ give it a 3 ½ outta 5 stars. Now onto being concerned about KITT vs KARR and my Knight Rider commissions.
EDIT - 14 July 2011: Apparently this is my 100th entry. Go me! x3
