Bonkers for Real - The A-Team, Murdock
Aug. 1st, 2011 06:56 pmThe sky still looked different. It was weird—going from looking at the night sky from the windows of a bedroom back home to the jungles of 'Nam to out of the window of a VA hospital.
Lights out had been hours ago (2200, sharp), but Murdock was still wide awake. There were days when he had problems turning his mind off so he could sleep. It'd taken him months to figure out why—
He missed 'em.
He missed Faceman conning his way into and out of whatever situation he could cook up (and often getting them much needed supllies) and flirting with the ladies.
He missed Hannibal and his cigar and his penchant for plans that always managed to come together and him being a sort of father to Murdock.
He missed BA calling him a crazy fool and cursing his flying and myriad of quirks.
He especially missed BA.
Things hadn't gone that great for the rest of the guys after Hanoi, he knew, and he felt sort of… well, almost bad for it. He was there, he should have been tried alongside them. He was still a member of the team, as Hannibal reassured in his letters to the pilot.
Hmm. Oh well. Knowing Hannibal, they weren't going to sit back and enjoy the maximum security ride. It was a comfort, Murdock thought, because if he stayed in this psych ward for much longer, he was going to go bonkers for real.
